Indications
Kidney Yang Deficiency: sensitivity to cold, weakness in the lower back frequent nighttime urination, swelling in the lower body impotence
Contraindications
Heat caused by a deficiency of Yin without a deficiency of Yang ⚠️ contains a small dose of fu-zi—only the processed form

Nourishes kidney yin and adds a “spark” of yang: warms without causing dryness, for cases of kidney yang deficiency with chills and lower-body weakness. Preparation: Traditionally—honey pills; nowadays—a decoction. Modifications: This is Liu-wei-di-huang-wan with the addition of the warming herbs gui-zhi and fu-zi
